How do I find books
to read?
I find books through multiple avenues. I will confess that a
cool looking book cover has been known to draw me to read the blurb then select
the title. In all fairness though, the cover doesn’t have to be attractive for
me to read a book, but it certainly helps. As
a department manager I select material for my library so reviews in Kirkus and
LJ frequently spur me to read a title. I also love “best of” lists whether they
are in the New York Times or Goodreads, don’t know why, but I love lists. If I
really like a title I tend to read everything by the author. If I want a
similar title to what I liked I use Novelist. If I’m not sure if I want to read
a title I will ask a co-worker and check LJ and Kirkus.
